Peer Review

Peanut Science operates a double blind review process.

Authors complete the Submissions Request form and receive a copy of the author manuscript submission instructions and manuscript template. Authors submit their research on a copy of their completed electronic manuscript template to Tim Grey, Editor, Peanut Science (tgrey@uga.edu). Upon receipt by the editor, the manuscript is reviewed for proper formatting and subject suitability for possible publication in Peanut Science. The manuscript will then be assigned to an associate editor knowledgeable in the subject matter of the manuscript.  Manuscripts are forwarded to two or more reviewers, who will critique the manuscript for content and presentation. The goal of the editor and associate editor is to return the reviewers' comments to the corresponding author within 60 days of submission. Communication concerning changes will be between the manuscript's Corresponding Author and the Associate Editor or Editor. The decision to accept of reject any manuscript for publication relies solely with the Editor/associate editors and is based on the scientific review of the manuscript. Upon acceptance and prior to publication, galley proofs and a page charge invoice will be emailed to the corresponding author. If requested, accepted articles can be preprinted prior to publication.  There is no page limit for published articles.

Revised manuscripts not returned within 6 months of the initial review are automatically released and, if resubmitted, will be treated as new manuscripts.
